5 Things I discovered this Week #1

Reading Time: 1 min

Every week, I share five ideas I’ve been reflecting on at the intersection of leadership, burnout, parenting, learning, and building a life that feels both ambitious and sustainable.

1. Leadership
The urge to solve problems quickly can unintentionally reduce ownership in others.

2. Burnout
Empathy without boundaries can quietly become exhaustion.

3. Parenting
Children seem remarkably forgiving of busy schedules, but far less forgiving of emotional absence.

4. Learning
Consistency beats intensity. Ten minutes repeated is more powerful than waiting for the perfect moment.

5. A question I’m sitting with
If I trusted my own judgment 10% more, what would I do differently next week?

Until next week,
Megha

Hi, I’m Megha, founder of OutOfTheBurn. I’m interested in a question that sits beneath burnout: why do capable, ambitious people keep pushing even when the way they are working is no longer sustainable? My work explores the patterns behind that question - our relationship with ambition, responsibility, boundaries, pressure, and identity - drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and behavioural design. OutOfTheBurn is about finding a way to pursue meaningful ambition without making wellbeing the price of achievement. Ambition with Ease. Work Well. Burn Bright. Not Out.
